WEINER ELEMENTARY'S BLENDED LEARNING FOCUS: Challenges associated with Covid 19 are everywhere, including maintaining a quality education for your child. This last nine weeks is just as important as the first. We are dedicated to providing the best learning opportunities we can for our students. This may feel overwhelming for a time --we, too, are overwhelmed. It is heartbreaking for us not to see your kids. We miss their hugs, stories, laughter, and the things they say and do that touch our heart. Blended learning is a combination of electronic and online media, as well as traditional face-to-face teaching. Social isolation requires that our face-to-face teaching will occur through video conferences, teacher made videos, email, and phone calls. We understand there will be times that things will not go smoothly --times you may want to throw your hands in the air. If you see something is not working, let us know. We will continue doing our best to make this process work --that's what we are here for! Give your child a hug for us each day. We miss them and are hoping to see them soon.
All students are expected to watch morning assembly each day. It is amazing how much about the world these kids learn in assembly! They should also open the Digital Learning/Librarylink. Students in Learning Lab and GT will discover learning prepared for them here as well. It is important for those in Grades 3-6 to check their email daily.
