Face 1:  THE BRICK BIBLE (Brendan Powell Smith)
   The Brick Bible is one artist’s epic endeavor to illustrate the entire Bible using only LEGO bricks. It is motivated by a desire to increase people’s knowledge and consideration of the content of the Bible in a way that’s captivating and fun. Each story is told using quotes from the Bible illustrated with a slideshow of scenes constructed entirely out of LEGO building bricks. Each is crafted and photographed by the renowned artist and author Elbe Spurling (formerly Brendan Powell Smith).
   Since the LEGO company has never produced any Bible-themed sets, every character and every bit of scenery in The Brick Bible is a result of creative recombinations of parts from LEGO sets that were released anywhere from the 1960s through today. There are also other BRICK books about the American Revolution and even a BRICK book about assassination attempts on our Presidents that also are illustrated with Legos!

​Face 2:  Peter Menzel and Faith D’Alusio - "What the World Eats"
   "What the World Eats" is a photographic journey to 24 countries, where the authors stayed with 30 different families for a week each.  They documented on paper and film what these families ate and how much it cost. Each photograph depicts all the family members in their home environment, surrounded by a week’s worth of groceries.  
   Comparing these photos tells us a great deal about, not only how different life is across our world, but also how many struggle to feed their families.

Face 3:  Jim Kay   ​
   Kay is the uncommonly gifted illustrator of "A Monster Calls", the dark, award-winning children’s book written by Patrick Ness, and of an elaborate glossy pop-up book about bugs. Still, no one was more surprised than Kay when JK Rowling’s publishers asked him to illustrate not one but all seven of the Harry Potter books, for glorious new large-scale editions, over the next seven years. But after almost two years of work, seven days a week, Kay’s illustrated edition of Harry Potter and "the Philosopher’s Stone" is a triumph – a book so alive it seems to jump, explode and slither out of your hands as you read. Rowling has given it her public seal of approval: “Seeing Jim Kay’s illustrations moved me profoundly,” she wrote for the dust jacket. “I love his interpretation of Harry Potter’s world, and I feel honoured and grateful he has lent his talent to it.”
​     Mr. Kay used real people as models to help his characters look real. Today we will take a look at Mr. Kay's illustrations! Fans are eagerly awaiting the release of "The Chamber of Secrets!" What do you think?  Did he succeed in capturing J.K. Rowling's magical world?

Face 4:  Bella and George
   When 10-year-old Bella Burton first met George, her new service dog, their connection was immediate. As a service animal, George helps Bella tackle the mobility challenges she faces as a complication of Morquio Syndrome, a rare disease that affects just 3,000 people worldwide. George, a 16-month-old Great Dane, has been Bella’s constant companion since he came to live with the Burton Family in January. He attends classes with the fourth grader at Reeves Elementary School and accompanies her on her weekly visits to Boston Children’s Hospital, where she receives an infusion of enzyme replacement therapy (ERT) every Wednesday. Burton says that George helps Bella walk by acting as a crutch when she leans or holds onto him. “He basically follows wherever she goes. They sleep together in bed every night,” she says. “He really is very protective and takes good care of her.”

​Face 5:  Morton Buildings
   Everybody has heard the old saying, “Don’t judge a book by it’s cover” at least a few times over their lifetimes, but few have made it into as much of a lifestyle as the owners of Morton Buildings. These plain, unassuming-looking buildings can be transformed into luxurious mansions, weekend getaways, or even a barnyard sanctuary. All the while, these buildings look simple, even plain from the outside – but they are proving popular with people who care more about function rather than form. Could these boring on the outside, incredible on the outside houses start to take over the market? You’ll have to see for yourself!

From the exterior, this Morton original is nothing to call home about. It looks more like a warehouse than an actual home, but the inside is the exact opposite. It is more warm and inviting than you would ever have thought.

Instead of wasting their money on exterior beauty, all of these homes feature the latest in comfort and technology inside the home.

Face 5:   Stefano Boeri
​   Stefano Boeri, an Italian architect with an affinity for innovative green structures, is set to build a 384ft apartment tower in Lausanne, Switzerland, that will be the first building in the world to be covered in evergreen trees. The 36-story green tower, aptly named “The Tower of Cedars," will be home to more than 100 trees, 6,000 shrubs and 18,000 plants spread over roughly 3,000 square meters of green space. The plants will protect the apartments inside from harsh winds, dust, and noise pollution, and will offer a more pleasant view of the city. This tower will be the second project of its kind by Boeri. He previously designed two towers in Milan as well.
